This portion of the Annual Report of the Director addresses the workload of all federal courts, the federal probation and pretrial services system, representations under the Criminal Justice Act, and complaints filed under the Judicial Conduct and Disability Act. Covers 12-month period ending September 30.

Gives profiles for regional courts of appeals and district courts, plus national totals and rankings. Data are based on workload per three-judge panel in the appellate courts, workload per authorized judgeship in the district courts, and median times for court action on cases. Covers 12-month periods ending March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31.

Reports information provided by federal and state officials on applications for orders for interception of wire, oral, or electronic communications. Data address offenses under investigation, types and locations of interception devices, and costs and duration of authorized intercepts. Covers 12-month period ending December 31.
