CCR Court Reporting
Hobart, IN - The College of Court Reporting (CCR) in Hobart, Indiana, has proved that court reporting students who take classes online can and do successfully complete the court reporting program. CCR recently had three women achieve their exit speeds! Truly, this is a great accomplishment for these very hard working students.
Balancing work, family and online classes is quite a juggling act. Leah Klitzke, Bria Bisignano, and Tracy Gidley should be extremely proud of their accomplishments as they will make excellent additions to the court reporting profession.
CCR opened in 1984 and is accredited by ACICS and is approved by NCRA. CCR has been offering classes through distance learning via the internet since May, 2001. The Accrediting Council for Independent Schools and Colleges (ACICS) approved CCR to offer its entire court reporting curriculum online. In December, 2003, then U.S. Secretary of Education, Rod Paige, selected CCR to participate in the Distance Education Demonstration program. CCR joined a very limited number of schools nationwide who participate in this program.
CCR has seen their online enrollment continue to grow and the quality of the online student is excellent. Kay Moody, MCRI, M.S.E. and owner of CCR says, "Our online students are very computer savvy, seem to be dedicated, and have progressed very well through our program. I teach speed building online; and after having been in the classroom for some many years, I am truly thrilled with the success of our online program."
Tracy Gidley of Illinois commented about her online experience, "The thing I liked best was the opportunity to be flexible when I did my school work. Being a full-time working mother of two, I was able to balance work, provide a good home life, and perform well at school. The technology that we were introduced to made it easy to participate in a classroom setting while not actually being face to face with other students. We interacted as if we were in the same room."
Leah Klitzke said of her experience at CCR, "Had I not had the opportunity to complete court reporting online, I would not have been able to enter this valuable profession. I cannot say enough good things about CCR. I am excited to show people that online learning is as good as getting an education by any other means."
